THE CRIDGE VILLAGE SENIORS CENTRE
Meet Steve! We are delighted to introduce you to Steve Baird, our new Manager of Seniors Services. Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position of Manager of the Seniors Centre and we are fortunate to have him as a part of our team. Steve has been serving seniors for over thirteen years, having started when he himself became primary caregiver for his own mother and felt motivated to offer care to other seniors as well. Steve also has a management background in fine dining and sets high standards for food quality and service. Steve is married and father to a high-energy six year old. He is kind, gentle, warm and is making us laugh already with his great sense of humour. Email Steve at sbaird@cridge.org if you're interested in chatting about your opportunities for assisted living in a facility with unparalleled ambiance and history, or call 384-8058.
It is fantastic news that we are able to announce that Chef Nikolas has been appointed as Head Chef of The Cridge Seniors Centre. While professionally trained, and having served seniors for over seven years, the heart of Chef Nic’s cooking was given to him as he learned to cook at the knee of his mother, aunts and uncles in his large extended Greek family. With extensive Sous Chef and Head Chef experience, Chef Nik is passionate about cooking from scratch using high quality fresh products prepared to his exacting standards. Taste, nutrition, and presentation, (and did we mention taste?) are the cornerstones of his philosophy. One warning – Chef Nikolas is a master baker and pastry chef – so be forewarned – the temptations will be great! The Cridge Village Seniors Centre is being developed in partnership with B.C. Housing and the Vancouver Island Health Authority - VIHA. All residents at the Cridge Village Seniors Centre will be treated with dignity and respect. We are committed to assisting seniors to maintain their independence and facilitating an environment of individuality and tolerance.
