The Cridge Centre for the Family offers transitional family housing in a supportive community setting. 31 townhouse units are provided at lower than market rents for families moving from a crisis situation to one of self-reliance, personal safety, and stability. Leases are from one to three years.
Our goals are to:
- Provide a safe community by:
- no tolerance of violence
- maintaining confidentiality of tenant information
- creating a supportive community setting.
- Provide safe, well-maintained housing by ensuring the premises are:
- secure
- kept in good repair and that maintenance needs are completed in a timely fashion.
- Provide affordable housing by charging lower than market rents.
- Provide housing that is transitional but also enables some stability by entering into one-year leases renewable up to two times.
While residing in Supportive Transitional Housing, tenants are required to access at least one Dovetail Program each year.
