The
Cridge Centre for the Family Respite Resource Service provides information
to families in Victoria about:
Community respite agencies
Community workshops
Selecting and evaluating respite care.
Respite care can be either planned or emergency temporary child
care ranging from a few hours on one occasion to a few weeks at
a regularly scheduled time. Its purpose is to provide caregivers
with a much-needed break from the 24 hour demands of caring for
a child with a disability.
