Selecting and evaluating respite care.

Respite care can be either planned or emergency temporary child care ranging from a few hours on one occasion to a few weeks at a regularly scheduled time. Its purpose is to provide caregivers with a much-needed break from the 24 hour demands of caring for a child with a disability.
