Infant and Toddler Care

At Vic High Daycare 'Higgins House'  we have two specially designed play areas for children from birth to 36 Months.  On the Infant side we stay down low and  keep the noise and movement to a minimum.  While the Toddler side can be a much livelier space.  The doors between the play areas have windows to allow children to interact, while ensuring the younger children's safety.   We have two separate nap rooms to ensure the children get adequate rest.                                                                                           

The staff recognise the parents as the "primary Caregivers" of their children and welcome every parent to be an active participant in their child's care while at the centre.    Caregivers are responsible for the care of 3 - 4 Infants or Toddlers.  They also involve themselves with other children as the need arises; this way they establish a safe and trusting environment with all the children.
