OUR PHILOSOPHY
Research regarding young parents and their children shows that there is a risk of failure to aquire the skills need to become independent and productive. This risk can be reduced through the provision of family support, high quality daycare and on-going education. Research also recognises the need for a holistic approach to childcare in a safe and respectful environment.
Therefore, as Famaily Support Workers and Early Childhood Educators we believe that:
-
Adults and children alike, deserve respect
-
Children learn through play and experiences
-
We are all unique individuals
-
A strong, healthy family is essential to the child's and parents well-being
-
Everyone is entitled to the opportunity to access education
-
We all enjoy having fun!
Vic High Daycare 'Higgins House' Mission Statement is:
- To enable young parents to acheive their educational goals by supporting life-long learning.
- To provide Infants, Toddlers and their parents a safe, supportive and respectful environment.
- To provide consistant affordable, accessable, quality care for Infants and Toddlers.
